A pediatric speech-language pathologist, author of Bunny's Big Day of Sounds, and the creator of The Early Childhood SLP — helping families discover that some of the richest opportunities for communication already live inside everyday moments together.
I'm Cansu Ozer, M.S., CCC-SLP — a pediatric speech-language pathologist and early intervention specialist. Every day I sit on living-room floors with little ones and their grown-ups, and I've seen again and again that first words don't come from flashcards or drills. They come from joy, repetition, and connection during the ordinary moments of a day.
That's the idea behind Bunny's Big Day of Sounds. I wanted a book that models the real building blocks of communication — sounds, gestures, and simple phrases — through a story families could return to over and over, celebrating every sound, movement, and expression a child shares.
The Early Childhood SLP is where that work continues: gentle, beautifully made resources for the years between a baby's first babble and a child's first sentence. Thank you for being here — and for being your child's favorite person to talk to.
